Medicines App

I've been seriously slacking on the blog side of my tinny micro small business, (it really doesnt generate as much money as you would think) so its time to get back to the news.

In the past weeks I've added a second application to the app store called "Medicine Case" which is basically just a simple app that lets you save your list of medicines, along with all their useful information and a friendly picture (of whatever you want).

The app has been on the app store for over 2 weeks now, with very little success (part 1 of this post).

Anyways, if you would like to purchase it, just click on the side icon that shows the apple app store logo.

Enjoy!

Feedback for Video Farm and Mi Granja Version 1.0

Feedback is what creates an app even more useful and fun to the users, so if you feel like something is not working right, or you would like to propose ideas to improve my little app, please feel free to add comments to this message.

I know the first request would be to add more animals to the app, but the price to purchase legal videos to be used on a mobile device makes it hard for me to add animals in the short term.

If the app creates enough sales to at least pay the cost of the app, then more animals would be on the way.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed!

Eduardo.

Ready For Sale

My little app has finally moved to the final stage of the app store process. It is not "Ready for Sale," which is Apple's way of saying "Open for Business."

The process was expected to take about 14 days, but it actually took less than that. In fact, the first time I submitted the app, I got a very polite response within 24 hours.
The app got resubmitted several times, mainly because I had no idea what I was doing, and each time the responses were done in a short time and in a very polite and useful way.

You can now purchase my first app ever, called VideoFarm, at the app store in your iPhone or through iTunes.

Any suggestions and feedback would be highly welcomed, and it would help me shape more apps in the future.

Waiting For Review

I finally took the big step and decided to give the submission of my app a test.
I've read this was a long and complicated process, but I never really thought it would take me 2 hours to go thru such thing.

Anyhow, its been sent but I had to change the name since I didn't do any research on whether that name was taken, and I'm certainly not creative enough to name anything in a timely manner.

Stay tuned....

Landscape mode ??

I've spent about 2-3 days trying to figure out how to make my app in landscape mode (and keep it that way) during the entire usage of the app. Google wasn't very useful since most people are having the same issue with no answers.

I was already thinking on ways to make this work on portrait mode, but I decided to start a new project from scratch to try to play with a much simpler app, and see what I get.

A couple of hours later, and Voila! I found some code that allows me to use my app on landscape mode.
Back on track again...

ps: Landscape = wider than taller. Portrait = taller than wider

First app...ever!

Somehow I'm making my first app ever. I've done coding for websites before, but Objective-C is a completely different animal.

Luckily enough, dummies books and sample code have shown me enough on how to do this in a short time.

It may not be a huge app or reinvent the wheel, but as Ron Boone says "For the most part, it gets the job done."

The app has not been submitted yet, so I'll make some announcements when that happens. (tuxedos would not be required for the gala)

Enjoy!
